BELONGING
5-12 August 2019
We live in one of the most connected times on earth and this may, on the face of it, be liberating. However are we perhaps longing for a deeper connection with ourselves, each other and the natural world?
What if belonging isn’t a place at all, but a set of skills, or competencies that we have lost or forgotten. What are those skills to which we can apprentice ourselves? Would they have the ability to restore belonging in our lives and connect us to our wider ‘families’?
As always, Wasinga self-generates it’s spiritual, intellectual and creative content. This year, we learnt:
- Love is the most powerful medicine.
- Having fun is serious 🙂
- It’s ok to have a great time, love yourself and try to change the world.
- The principals by which we operate are hard to define, and constantly evolve. Roll with it.
- Foundations are built. They are also learnt.
- Growing up takes many forms.
- Wasinga is small and always will be. What we have learnt, and the impact this can have, however, must be big.
