Terms and Conditions

Entrance to the Wasinga Project is subject to the following Conditions:

  1. Payment in the form of a contribution for a ticket to the Wasinga Project shall constitute acceptance by the Payer of the Conditions of Issue and imply an undertaking on the part of the Payer to observe them and any other notice or regulation issued by the organisers and displayed at the Venue.
  2. A ticket represents membership of the Wasinga Project and is not transferable unless via written agreement with the organisers.  Those persons will be subject to the Conditions of Issue which will apply as if he/she were the original recipient of the ticket and must abide by the rules and ethos of the Wasinga Project.
  3. The Organiser reserves the right to search all persons and personal property upon entry to and while at the Venue.  Glass items, candles, gas canisters, flares, knives, illegal substances, drugs, ‘legal highs’, laser equipment/pens, megaphones, nitrous oxide, animals, fireworks, smoke canisters, poles, banners or flags and any items which in the absolute discretion of the Promoter are considered to be a risk to the safety of the participants and/or affect the enjoyment of the participants and/or the running of the Event are prohibited.
  4. The Organiser reserves the right to refuse to allow folding and/or camping style chairs into the Event Site and/or to require people to cease using such chairs in the Event Site in the interests of health and safety or if required to do so by any legislation or statutory requirement.  For the avoidance of doubt, folding and/or camping style chairs are permitted in the campsite.
    1. Alcohol, food and cans are permitted but not in the children’s area. Food will be provided for the members by the members and is centrally organized according to the rota available to all members.
    2. All members are expected to contribute to the cooking, cleaning, and clearing up of the site
    3. Cooking in the Campsite will be permitted on camping gas stoves (gas canisters up to 300g only) and disposable BBQs ONLY in designated areas.  These must be used sensibly and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.  Cooking on gas where installed in a camper van parked within the official camper van area is also permitted.  Cooking by all other means including open fires, BBQs (other than disposable) and any other kind of gas appliance is strictly prohibited.
  5. But for the exceptions set out in this clause, any equipment capable of recording (whether temporarily or permanently) or transmitting any audio, visual or audio-visual, material is prohibited.  Mobile telephones are permitted within the Venue but any phone calls are to be made and received outside the Event site. Photographic equipment is not permitted on the event site.
  6. Items prohibited by the Conditions of Issue shall not be brought to the Venue.  Any permitted items used contrary to the Conditions of Issue and any prohibited items shall be returned to the vehicle of the participant or to a safe space offsite without any liability on the Organiser to safeguard or return such items.
  7. The Bearer shall not offer or distribute (either free or for sale) within the Venue any consumer article or commercial product of any nature or purchase any such item from any vendor. Wasinga is a commerce free zone.
  8. The Organiser reserves the right to refuse admission to the Venue or eject any person from the Venue if, in the absolute discretion of the Organiser, the Participant may be a risk to the safety of the audience and/or affect the enjoyment of the audience and/or the running of the Event, for example if the Bearer refuses to be searched upon entering the Venue or whilst at the Venue, appears to be under the influence of drink and/or drugs and/or is acting aggressively or in possession of any item prohibited by the Conditions of Issue or undertaking any act prohibited by the Conditions of Issue or fails to comply with any lawful instruction issued by or on behalf of the Organiser. The Organiser reserves the right to alter or change the Event program, without prior notification. Refunds will not be issued should the program change.
  9. Membership cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase unless the entire Event is cancelled, in which event your contribution will go towards a rescheduled event.
  10. In the event of the membership being disbanded the monies will be distributed back to the members after costs have been paid.
  11. If the Event is cancelled, the Organiser shall not be liable for any costs or expenses wasted or incurred by the Member including, but not limited to, accommodation or transport costs, or any direct or indirect losses or damage of whatever kind.
  12. If you are disabled please contact the organisers to ensure they are aware of your needs and requirements. The organisers will use best endeavours to ensure those needs are met.
  13. All parents are fully responsible for their children. There is no crèche on site, and if children are left with anyone, or are not being supervised they remain the responsibility of the parents at all times.
  14. Whilst there is no paid bar, and Wasinga Project is a gifting event, parents must ensure that their children are aware of the dangers of alcohol and are fully responsible for preventing their children from accessing any alcohol.
  15. Any alcohol that is to be gifted will be kept in a secure place by the Organiser. Please make the Organiser aware if you are going to gift alcohol.
  16. Adults are reminded that there are areas of the Venue, especially immediately in front of the stage and some bands or acts that may be inappropriate and may contain adult content. Any Adult is responsible entirely for the safety and welfare of any Teenager or child in its party.
  17. In the event of a Child and/or a Teenager being removed from the Venue, the accompanying Adult will take sole responsibility for the care and control of the Child and/or Teenager and the Organiser will bear no responsibility in this regard.
  18. There is a kids zone for the children’s benefit close to the Information Centre at Welfare. In the event of any issue with children please contact Welfare as soon as possible.
  19. Any breach of the Conditions of Issue will render this Membership automatically void and all rights conferred or evidenced by such payment shall be withdrawn without any refund. For the avoidance of doubt, this will include refusal of entry to the Venue or ejection from the Venue, as applicable.
  20. Admission to the Venue is at the Member’s own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Promoter hereby excludes any liability for loss, injury or damage to persons or property in or around the Venue during, before or after the Event.
  21. These Conditions of Issue are governed by English law. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with them shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the English Court.
  22. Definitions: In these Conditions of Issue, the following words and phrases shall have the following meanings: “Member” means the person who has paid the membership fee; “Conditions of Issue” means these terms and conditions governing the terms upon which the Bearer is permitted to enter and remain within the Venue; “Child” means a child of 15 and under as at 11 June 2015; “Event” means the Wasinga Project;  “Teenager” means any person aged between 13 and 17 as at 11 June 2015; “Adult” means any person aged 18 or over as at 11 June 2015; “Organiser” means the Wasinga Project.
